Can you promote your product in r/vuejs?

Yes, you can promote your product in r/vuejs, but only under the subreddit’s Rule 3, "Referrals and Self-Promotion." That rule says if you post "a course of yours/products of yours," you should do it "in a tasteful way" and should not "blow up the feed" with your course or "all of your blog posts with referral links."

The rules that cover promotion

Rule 3: Referrals and Self-Promotion

"If you are going to post something that is a course of yours/products or yours, make sure it's in a tasteful way. Don't blow up the feed with a course you're doing or all of your blog posts with referral links."

About

"Feel free to share what you're learning or building, link an article, and ask for some help!"

Rule 2: Accurate Posting

"Make sure whatever your posting has accurate information and is up-to-date."

Quoted from the subreddit's own rules, snapshot from July 2026. Read all 3 rules on Reddit

What gets removed

  • Abusive, racist, or derogatory comments towards individuals or groups are not permitted
  • Posts that are not accurate or up-to-date
  • Self-promotion that "blow[s] up the feed"
  • All of your blog posts with referral links

Safer ways to show up

  • Share what you are learning or building, not just a sales pitch
  • If you post your own course or product, do it "in a tasteful way"
  • Avoid posting repeatedly or flooding the feed with your own content
  • Make sure your post information is accurate and up-to-date
Whatever the written rules say, the pattern that gets promo removed everywhere is the same: batches of similar comments, reused wording, and necro-posting on old threads. A promotional mention only has value if it survives, so pace matters more than volume. We measured this the expensive way: 70% of bought pool comments were removed within two weeks.
