Can you promote your product in r/Python?
You can post a Python-related project, but promotion is tightly conditioned by the project and showcase rules. The rules say "When posting projects please include both description text and a link to source code," project posts "must use a showcase flair & use a text post," and "No showcase posts" applies to AI showcases outside the monthly showcase post or a daily thread.
The rules that cover promotion
Rule 1: No showcase posts
"Due to an increase of showcases featuring AI content such as working with multiple AI models or wrappers around APIs, this is no longer allowed. Please post your showcases in the appropriate monthly showcase post or a daily thread instead."
Rule 4: When posting projects please include both description text and a link to source code
"When posting a project please include an image showing your project if applicable, a textual description of your project including how Python is relevant to it and a link to source code."
Rule 5: Project posts must use showcase flairs and must be text
"When posting a project you must use a showcase flair & use a text post, not an image post, video post or similar."
Rule 11: Showcases must include required sections
"Showcase posts must have these sections: - **What My Project Does** - **Target Audience** - **Comparison**"

What gets removed
- AI showcase posts outside the monthly showcase post or a daily thread
- Project posts without description text, Python relevance, or a link to source code
- Project posts that are not text posts with showcase flair
- Paywalled content, banned links, and low quality blogs
Safer ways to show up
- If you post a project, make it a text post with a showcase flair
- Include a clear description, explain how Python is relevant, and link the source code
- Add the required showcase sections: What My Project Does, Target Audience, Comparison
- For AI-related showcases, use the monthly showcase post or a daily thread
