Can you promote your product in r/Instagram?

You cannot broadly promote your product in r/Instagram. Rule 6 says, "No self-promotion, F4F, S4S, C4C, L4L, giveaways, hacking services, ban/unban, verification, etc," and Rule 2 adds, "Don't post anything for sale here. We are not a marketplace." The rules do allow a narrow lane for introducing yourself and your profile in the weekly Introduction thread, and the submit page says to post links to your Instagram pictures, not links to your account directly.

Threads with "follow me, follow train, etc" are automatically removed

Links to your account directly, outside the weekly or Friday intro thread, are not allowed
Posts or links about selling likes, followers, or accounts can get you banned

Use the weekly Introduction thread to introduce yourself and your profile
Post links to your Instagram pictures, not your account directly
Share your pictures without asking for follows, likes, or engagement swaps
Join discussions, ask questions, and give feedback in ways that follow Reddiquette and the Instagram TOS

Whatever the written rules say, the pattern that gets promo removed everywhere is the same: batches of similar comments, reused wording, and necro-posting on old threads.
