Can you promote your product in r/Fiverr?

No, you cannot promote your product or services in r/Fiverr. Rule 2 says, "r/Fiverr is not a promotional or commercial subreddit" and that "all content of a promotional or advertising nature will be removed," and the sidebar says, "Spam, all links to Fiverr Gigs, and profile pages are automatically hidden by Automoderator and result in a PERMANENT ban with NO APPEAL." The rules also ban off-Fiverr promotion and treat requests for DMs or links as rule-circumvention.

The rules that cover promotion

Rule 2: No Spam, Links to Fiverr Gigs, or Self-Promotion

"r/Fiverr is not a promotional or commercial subreddit, all content of a promotional or advertising nature will be removed."

Rule 6: No Links or Requests for Contact

"Asking people to DM you for links/more information etc. will be considered circumventing subreddit rules."

Sidebar

"Spam, all links to Fiverr Gigs, and profile pages are automatically hidden by Automoderator and result in a PERMANENT ban with NO APPEAL"

Sidebar

"Promoting your off-Fiverr services, e.g. via your website, social media, or other platforms, will result in a ban."

What gets removed

  • Promotional or advertising content
  • Links to Fiverr gigs or profile pages, subject to ban
  • Obviously promotional posts
  • Off-Fiverr promotion or links, subject to ban

Safer ways to show up

  • Discuss Fiverr, share experiences, give advice, or ask for help without promoting yourself
  • Use one required capitalized tag at the start of your title, such as [HELP] or [DISCUSSION]
  • If you must share your gig, use r/FiverrGigs instead
  • Keep posts Fiverr-related and avoid asking people to DM you for links or more information
Whatever the written rules say, the pattern that gets promo removed everywhere is the same: batches of similar comments, reused wording, and necro-posting on old threads. A promotional mention only has value if it survives, so pace matters more than volume. We measured this the expensive way: 70% of bought pool comments were removed within two weeks.
