Can you promote your product in r/EtsySellers?

You generally cannot promote your product in r/EtsySellers outside narrow exceptions. Rule 1 says, "We do not allow promotional posts or comments here," and Rule 8 says the only approved place for shop links, besides when necessary for context or feedback, is "the stickied weekly Milestone and Self Promotion threads." Shop links are also allowed for a shop critique request under Rule 2 and Rule 1.

Whatever the written rules say, the pattern that gets promo removed everywhere is the same: batches of similar comments, reused wording, and necro-posting on old threads.
