Can you promote your product in r/digital_marketing?

You cannot directly promote your product as an offer or service post here. The rules say, "This place is not for offering services or looking for a job," and "Link submissions to blogs, articles or videos are not allowed," but they do allow sharing your own content if you make it a text post, include the article or a summary, and put the link at the end.

The rules that cover promotion

Blog/Article/Video Link

"Link submissions to blogs, articles or videos are not allowed"

Advertising

"This place is not for offering services or looking for a job, these posts belong in /r/forhire, or /r/jobs."

How to share content

"If you want to share your own content, create a text-post with your article and have a link in the end to your site."

How to share content

"If your post is too long, summarize the main points and have a link to the full article."

What gets removed

  • Link submissions to blogs, articles or videos
  • Offering services or job-seeking posts
  • Posts linked to a low quality source
  • Clearly AI generated posts, user banned

Safer ways to show up

  • Share your own content as a text post, put the full article or a summary in the post, then place the link at the end
  • If sharing someone else's content, add your opinion or question to encourage discussion, then link it at the end
  • Use the appropriate flair, or choose "Other" and contact the mods with a flair submission
  • Use clear, non-clickbait titles
Whatever the written rules say, the pattern that gets promo removed everywhere is the same: batches of similar comments, reused wording, and necro-posting on old threads. A promotional mention only has value if it survives, so pace matters more than volume. We measured this the expensive way: 70% of bought pool comments were removed within two weeks.
