What gets removed

  • Promotional and commercial activity, including self-promotion, surveys, advertising, and social media pushing
  • Promotion of your own products, services, brand, shop, or design services
  • Claiming someone else's work as your own, repeated offenders will receive a ban
  • Memes, low effort posts, and obvious AI-generated posts, AI-generated posts will result in a ban

Safer ways to show up

  • Post work for feedback only if you add a comment with context about the objective, audience, and design decisions
  • If you post someone else's work, credit them appropriately and use the 'Someone Else's Work' flair
  • Keep posts focused on design with functional purpose, not art, illustration, or off-topic material
  • Use the job-related subreddits named in Rule 1 if your post is about hiring, recruiting, or job-searching
Whatever the written rules say, the pattern that gets promo removed everywhere is the same: batches of similar comments, reused wording, and necro-posting on old threads. A promotional mention only has value if it survives, so pace matters more than volume. We measured this the expensive way: 70% of bought pool comments were removed within two weeks.
