Can you promote your product in r/content_marketing?

You generally cannot promote your product in r/content_marketing through a normal post. The rules say, "NO self advertisement or any DIRECT advertisement allowed" and "If you want to promote your blog or a specific blog post, please comment in the stickied Check Out My Blog Post thread," while ads for a service or tool require contacting the mods in advance.

Whatever the written rules say, the pattern that gets promo removed everywhere is the same: batches of similar comments, reused wording, and necro-posting on old threads.
