Can you promote your product in r/alphaandbetausers?

Yes, you can promote your product in r/alphaandbetausers, but only if it fits the subreddit’s testing purpose and follows the posting rules. Posts must include a link to a product that is ready to be tested, use stage and system tags, include a description, and must not be just an email signup, launch waitlist, or future testing application page; spam, non-alpha/beta links, and NSFW products can be removed.

The rules that cover promotion

Ready-to-test product link required

"Posts must include links to products that are ready to be tested"

Title tagging required

"Please tag title with stage and system, i.e., [Android, Alpha] or [IOS, Beta]"

Product description required

"Please add a description of your product"

No email capture or launch signup pages

"DO NOT post links to pages that only request email addresses or "registration for launch" or "apply here" for future testing. These will be removed."

What gets removed

  • Links to pages that only ask for email addresses, launch registration, or future testing applications
  • Links to products believed not to be in Alpha or Beta
  • Posts thought to be spam, users thought to be spamming could be banned
  • NSFW products

Safer ways to show up

  • Post a direct link to a product that is ready to be tested now
  • Tag your title with stage and system, like [Android, Alpha] or [IOS, Beta]
  • Add a clear description of your product
  • Test someone else’s product too, the sidebar explicitly asks posters to do that
Whatever the written rules say, the pattern that gets promo removed everywhere is the same: batches of similar comments, reused wording, and necro-posting on old threads. A promotional mention only has value if it survives, so pace matters more than volume. We measured this the expensive way: 70% of bought pool comments were removed within two weeks.
