Can you promote your product in r/Affiliatemarketing?

You cannot promote your product or program freely in r/Affiliatemarketing. The rules say, "DO NOT PROMOTE YOUR PROGRAM AS A POST OUTSIDE OF THE THREAD FOR AFFILIATE OFFERS OR YOU WILL BE BANNED," and Rule 6 says, "Outside of the affiliate and tool thread, you cannot get customers within the sub." If you want to post an affiliate offer or tool, the rules direct you to use the sticky thread and follow the required format.

What gets removed

Links with referral tags or tracking codes
Links to sales pages, sign-up pages, guru or high priced coaching programs
Blatant backlink farming, affiliate links, and tool links outside the sticky thread

Safer ways to show up

Use the sticky affiliate/tool thread if you are posting an offer
In that thread, include a brief description, the information page link, and the sign-up page link
Post a specific offer, not a network homepage like ClickBank or JVZoo
In normal discussion, recommend tools by name, not by link

Whatever the written rules say, the pattern that gets promo removed everywhere is the same: batches of similar comments, reused wording, and necro-posting on old threads.
